Robredo's Istorya ng Pag-asa project contains more than 400 real-life stories of the Philippines

In a video posted on her Facebook and Youtube pages, Robredo looked back at those featured in the travelling INP photo show, where she answered 20 questions in three minutes to mark her three years in office.

On her Sunday radio show, “BISErbisyong Leni,” she was asked about the first INP guest. The vice president said it was Lorna Tambaon, a single mother who could send her four kids to school from selling turon.

Her three daughters became a lawyer, teacher, and nurse, while her youngest son was part of the Philippine College of Medicine’s University’s informed program.

In March 2017, Robredo remembered the opening of the first INP exhibition.

The INP project was launched by the Vice President’s Office to highlight success stories from ordinary people who have risen above adversities and are lasting sources of hope, inspiration and encouragement for other Filipinos.

Of those featured were Quezon, Bacolod, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Dumaguete, Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Palawan, Cavite, and others.

The others were in Sorsogon, Cebu, Western Negros, Eastern Negros, Capiz, and Iloilo.

In previous years, the Vice President has visited the U.S., Hong Kong Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom to encourage success stories of Filipino overseas workers there.

To Robredo, her radio show’s “most unforgettable” episode was with OFWs involved in her INP project when she was in Hong Kong.

The first article was about JP, a Hong Kong Disneyland performer and co-owner of GoGoBaon, a food delivery service specializing in inexpensive Philippine produce.

The others were Manny, who created Backstage Productions, Hong Kong’s go-to sound system for the Philippines, and Noemi, founder and chairman of the Hong Kong-based Filipino party umbrella organization called Global Alliance.

INP champs included, among others, Melda Bustinera, Glady Ayo, Marieta Dizon, Melba Bumadilla, Virginia Vigo, Dioscoa Barbarona, Melody Sotero, Virginia Rosario, Natividad Arcega, Jalyn Navio.
