ALLIANCE MediNet is partnering with Inova Healthcare to examine prospects for the management of medication benefits in South-eastern Asia, the entirely-owned company Alliance MediNet said in an award file on Tuesday.
“This collaboration with Inova Care marks an important milestone for Alliance Healthcare, as we tap on Inova Care’s extensive network to expand our cashless managed healthcare service coverage for our clients in the region,” told Alliance Healthcare chief executive Barry Thing.
“As Inova Care’s exclusive partner, we look forward to supporting their growth in Singapore while expanding our clientele base locally,” Dr Thng also added.
The Alliance MediNet network, founded in Singapore, will be used by Inova Healthcare to provide medical and dental services, while Alliance MediNet will use the Inova network to supplement Alliance MediNet’s networks both inside as well as outside the Singapore. This exclusive partnership arrangement shall take effect on 1 January as well as shall be extended annually for a further term of three years.
Inova Care provides insurance companies as well as business customers with operations in twelve countries throughout North America, Asia as well as Europe with managed care and third-party solutions. This includes a network of thousands of hospitals as well as five thousand clinics and since 2002 has handled over 4 million claimants covering over 1.7 million members of its network.
Through selling shares in the Singapore Catalist Board in June last year, Alliance Healthcare earned S$6.4 million (US$ 4.65 million) for S$0.20 million. As the underwriter and placements agent CIMB was a sponsor and problem manager of CGS-CIMB Securities. Their shares are still below water. They were seen at S$0.18 after the official release.
